FOPFH CELEBRATES MILITARY MONDAY!
The Friends of the Pittsburgh Fisher House had a great night at the Pirates game to honor and appreciate our nations heroes. 84 Lumber proudly sponsored Armed Forces Night with a donation to the Friends of the Pittsburgh Fisher House capital campaign which was matched by the Pirates to total $10,000! On hand were Amy Smiley from 84 Lumber, and FOPFH Board members and friends. Andrew Krull threw the first pitch, and Jim Bruder, John Corder, Nick Krawec, Mike McCarthy, and Harry Austin were honored on field with a military salute.

Thank you to the Pittsburgh Penguins and 84 Lumber for supporting Friends of the Pittsburgh Fisher House throughout Military Appreciation Month! FOPFH board members and guests had a great time at the November 5 game! Board members attending were Nick Krawec with DJ, Mary Ellen Austin with Harry, and Jim Bruder with guest. Also attending were honorary capital campaign committee chair Dr. Rory Cooper with Rosi, and capital campaign committee members Laura McKinney with Bill, and Deb Walton with Greg, and MJ Meenen. Proceeds from the silent auction of military warm up jersey's, signed ball caps, hockey pucks and other memorabilia will benefit the Capital Campaign for the 2nd Pittsburgh Fisher House!
